What success looks like in this role:

Position Overview

The NOC Agent is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting the organization's network and IT infrastructure to ensure optimal uptime and performance. This role involves real-time analysis of alerts, incident resolution, escalation handling, and coordination with internal and external teams for effective incident and problem management.

Key Responsibilities:

o   Monitor network, servers, systems, and services using NOC tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG).

o   Respond to alerts and incidents, perform initial troubleshooting, and take corrective actions or escalate to appropriate teams.

o   Ensure all critical incidents are documented and resolved in a timely manner, adhering to SLAs.

o   Coordinate with vendors and service providers for issues related to connectivity, hardware failures, or cloud services.

o   Maintain logs of incidents, downtime, and other events for analysis and reporting.

o   Perform routine system health checks, backups, and maintenance tasks as per runbooks..

o   Ensure 24/7 operational support through shift-based rotation including weekends and holidays.

o   Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ITIL-based processes for Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

o   Support deployment, patching, and updates as part of scheduled maintenance windows.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

·         Key Qualifications, skills, and expertise:

o   Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.

o   1–3 years of experience in a NOC, IT support, or infrastructure operations role.

o   Familiarity with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls), Windows/Linux servers, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

o   Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

o   Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN concepts.

o   Experience with ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira.

o   Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

o   Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
