About the location:

General

  • Is directly responsible for the day to day key processes in his/her area of work
  • Assists his/her supervisor in executing the day to day operational requirements
  • Assumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness; promotes teamwork and acts as role model
  • Attends all scheduled training sessions
  • Actively offers operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to management
  • Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule
  • Adheres to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards
  • Is seen as working hands-on, assists colleagues in crunch times.
  • Actively participates in briefings and meetings; facilitates communication between employees and management
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area and promotes a safe working environment
  • Performs any additional duties as assigned.

    Departmental

  • Receives soiled linens/employee uniforms, counts and sorts articles according to types of treatment to be given.
  • Process with the washing of linens and employee uniforms according to set standards.
  • Upon completion of washing sequence, to verify cleanliness of articles and hand-wash selected articles if necessary.
  • Iron articles with heated iron or with pressing machine.
  • Folds and sorts pressed articles and hand over for arrangement on shelves or to send back to guests.
  • Issue clean linens to staff in departments such as Kitchen, Restaurant and Housekeeping.
  • Make entries in the linen register for receipts and issues of uniforms and linens.
  • Check linens regularly for wear and tear and informs Supervisor forreplacement or mending.
  • Makes monthly inventory of linens.
  • Participate in the Ecolab chemical training conducted for minimum two times a year
  • Maintains a clean and employee friendly working environment in the Hotel as well the external laundries
