Position Summary:

“Launch” is our new pathway for graduates stepping directly into permanent roles. The program is designed for ambitious graduates (Bachelors, Masters or PhD level) who are ready to make an impact from day one, supported with on the job learning and career progression opportunities.

In this role, you’ll be based in the Electrical, Electronics, Software, Control System Design, and System Security (E24S) capability group. This group sits within Rolls-Royce Engineering, Technology and Safety - the central home for engineering expertise across the Rolls-Royce group.
 

The E24S group is made up of a diverse team of engineers specializing in traditional and model-based software, system development, electronics, system safety, and system security. The team works collaboratively across design, integration, testing, in-service support and supply chain management to meet customer needs.

What you’ll be doing:
You’ll work on a wide variety of projects to support our diverse customer base. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, requirements development, system design, integration, and testing. 

You’ll be involved in the design and development of power and propulsion control systems, working within a cross-functional, agile team under the guidance of a Senior Engineer. 

Opportunities in this role include (but are not limited to): developing system requirements with internal and external customers, resolving platform integration challenges, creating digital models, verifying models and hardware using real-time simulators and integrating and testing control systems on real engines.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Knowledge of control system design, requirements management, testing, data analysis and simulation/modeling tools

  • Ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage a variety of audiences (e.g., team members, technical experts, and management)

  • Effective presentation skills

  • Willingness and ability to travel to worksites to perform job responsibilities

Relevant majors:

Educated to degree level in a STEM subject, including:

  • Systems Engineering

  • Electrical & Computer Engineering

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Aerospace Engineering

Standing/Graduation Eligibility: You will receive your degree between December 2025 and August 2026.

Work authorization eligibility: Ability to work in the U.S. with indefinite work authorization; No sponsorships are available for this role.
