Job Description Summary
Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor and direction of the Warehouse Lead, this position assists the Warehouse Forklift Operator, performs warehouse sanitation, damaged product recouping, tote make up, and other miscellaneous warehouse duties as directed. This position entails sanitation in the warehouse, proper flow of finished product in bulk situations. Ability to identify products and maintain flow of products as production needs arise.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Maintain safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs.
The operation of the mainline and by-line hydraulic blend systems.
Taking visual checks of all bulk product prior to blending to assure the product meets all company standards and specifications.
Filling and transporting bulk products from the tote room, and bulk-off stations to the bulk holding area by means of pallet jack.
The construction and building of tote bins (inclusive of liners).
Applying stacking aids to finished product when applicable.
Notifies supervisor immediately if there is a problem with the bulk product and turns off the blend system.
Sanitation of area.
Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor. Actively participate in Company Safety and Good Manufacturing Practice Programs.
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
Skills and Experience:
Must be able to communicate, comprehend, and follow instructions in English (both written and oral).
Sanitation qualification is required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained.
Must have good communication skills oral and written.
Must adhere to all company rules, policies and/or procedures concerning work, GMP’s and safety.
Physical Environment/Demands:
Exposed to a noisy environment that varies from hot to cold in temperature.
Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for job actions and procedures.
Ability to ascend and descend stairs several times per shift.
Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment.
Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
