Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- The Laboratory Manager oversees the day to day running and administration of the laboratory.
- Ensure laboratory accreditation to IANZ and ISO 17025 Std.
- Lead and develop laboratory team members.
- Lead the investigation of micro related issues in the plants and ensure the lab is involved in factory hygiene
- Systems
- Perform assigned tasks in accordance with all Heinz Food Safety, Environmental, Health and Safety, and
- Ethical and Human Resources policies, programs and goals.
- To uphold the Heinz values and to work in a way that contributes to the Company’s vision
About you:
- Tertiary Qualification in Science, Microbiology or similar.
- Ability to work cross functionally across FSQ and with production teams as appropriate.
- Strong and proven experience in microbiological testing, laboratory signatory, people supervision and leadership experience.
- Has the ability to adapt or enhance quality or value in existing methods, and can implement change significantly by enhancing entire existing processes, systems or products.
- Microsoft Office including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
- LIM’s Database experience desired.
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand with full working rights.
