Laboratory Coordinator (Relief)

ROLE PURPOSE

• Optimizing of laboratory instruments,
• preparation of solutions,
• non-routine laboratory and quality functions.
• Relief for shift analysts as and when required

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all production raw material are analyzed accurately.
• Raise deviations for out of specification results.
• Formulate daily raw materials, in-process, and final product report.
• Hourly analysis of intermediate production - Day shift
• Preparation and standardization of laboratory testing solutions
• Ensure all testing chemicals and indicators are prepared correctly and available for routine analysis.
• Ensure laboratory reference standards are prepared accurately.
• Analysis of all retention samples for shelf-life purposes
• Improve laboratory test methods.
• Analysis of non-conforming products
• Analysis of customer samples
• Work as a relief for shift analysts in the laboratory
• Perform quality checks
• Accurately prepare weekly plant reagents
• Calibration of laboratory testing instruments
• Partake in laboratory, quality root cause analysis and improvements.
• Assist with laboratory admin functions.
• Improve laboratory documents.
• Training of laboratory interns
• Assist in all routine analysis.
• Perform second titration where required.
• Analysis of plant by-products and waste samples
