Job Description Summary

Laboratory Associate serves as a point of contact for healthcare providers, patients, and internal departments regarding laboratory testing. The role utilizes resources to ensure accurate test selection, specimen requirements and processing instructions. The Laboratory Associate manages tests cancellations and problem resolution by working directly within lab sections to correct errors and ensure accurate reporting. Complies with all safety guidelines and models Standards of Behavior in daily interactions and activities.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:

*           Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences including:

*             24 semester hours of science courses that include:

*             6 semester hours of chemistry

*             6 semester hours of biology

*             12 semester hours of any combination of chemical or biological sciences
