Department Details

Schedule:
• 8-hour day shifts with 1 Saturday shift/month
• Rotating holidays
Duties include:
• Receiving, send out, and processing of specimen samples
• Minimal phlebotomy required
• Additional job duties for Senior role: scheduling, training, policy review

Laboratory Assistant = No certification or previous experience required ($17.00-25.50)
Senior Laboratory Assistant = Requires active phlebotomy certification ($18.00-26.50)

Summary

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, collecting, preparing and processing specimens biological specimens.

Job Description

Assists in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks. Aids in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies. May be responsible for entering laboratory orders and results. Ensures the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) preferred.



Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred. May be required to have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
