Own the system as an Analyst II based in our Anaheim, CA laboratory. Step into advanced instrument work and make it run at its best. Operate GC and GC-MS systems to produce accurate, defensible data—while taking full ownership of cleaning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. Deliver both primary and secondary data review with confidence and consistency under strict SOP and QA/QC standards.
You’re a key connector in the lab. Train junior analysts, partner with leadership on method development and process improvements, and help shape better ways of working. Keep SOPs sharp, support audit readiness, and use your advanced LIMS expertise to spot gaps, suggest improvements, and help drive system enhancements forward.
The compensation range for this role is $25 to $35, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.
Department: Volatiles (VOA)
To thrive in this role, you’ll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:
Perform chemical measurements and other tasks to meet the expectations of our clients by efficiently and profitably generating defensible data on time.
GC/MS quantitative sample analysis.
Instrument calibration, validation, and method development
Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting
Preparation of data summaries for inclusion in client reports.
Sample and standard preparation
Perform primary and secondary data review
Maintain consumables and parts for instruments
Overhead projects designed to improve efficiency of, or accuracy of analyses
Communicating relevant updates to applicable people in a timely manner
Performing other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the Company
Compliance with Quality Assurance Program and other policies
Compliance with Company’s Health and Safety Plan

High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Science preferred
Minimum of 5 -10 years' experience operating and troubleshooting Agilent GC/MS instrumentation and various P&T concentrators
Proficiency in laboratory analysis techniques, specifically with various EPA methods such as 8260, 524 and 624
Strong Microsoft Office Skills and familiarity with LIMS
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of analytical methods, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
Well organized and have an attention to detail
Good organization and communication skills
Able to work in a fast-paced environment
