The Role
CCA's Service Operations is the organization responsible for supporting GM's global dealer network with tools and equipment, technician training and warranty administration. In addition, this organization is responsible for helping to identify product quality concerns. This role is responsible for ensuring continuous improvement, effective delivery, customer retention and profitability in service operations.
The Customer Care and Aftersales (CCA) Global Labor Time department is seeking an Automotive Technician to become part of the team. This position is responsible to perform on vehicle validation and time studies for published mechanical service procedures. It involves working closely with the Mechanical Service Information Development authors to develop best in class service information and accurate labor times for warranty repairs.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Perform on vehicle validation of service procedures
Identify errors and possible optimizations within service procedures
Perform time studies for “on vehicle” repair procedures
Document validations and time studies
Document and communicate project status to leadership as required.
Maintain good housekeeping, safety practices and supplies
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Strong automotive technical knowledge (e.g., ASE certification, dealership technician experience, automotive technology certificate, ASEP Program graduate)
Two-year associate degree in automotive field or combination of equivalent training and relevant automotive experience
Minimum of 2 years of repair experience in an automotive repair facility
Solid Understanding of automotive special service tools and service equipment
