What a Labels and Packaging Category Manager does at HP:
- Labels & Packaging HP Indigo platforms product and project management with end-to-end solution implementation for GTM, prospects and customers.
- Support and progress the development of step of sale cycle (Hardware opportunity).
- Product life cycle and NPI (New Products) management in collaboration with Global Business Unit (GBU).
- Defining product pricing and sales strategy for the Labels & Packaging market, Create sales programs and pricing tools to achieve business objectives.
- Support sales cycles and providing technical and commercial expertise and support to the regional teams.
- Master the competitive landscape and proactively offer tools to counter programs vs. competition, Working with each of the countries Have a deep understanding of competitive insight.
- Lead projects remotely end to end and work with HP Channel partners and solution partners.
- Leverage HP Singapore and partners resources for the right solution with the extended team, from GEC, service, training and our partners facilities to strive for solutions.
- Understand customers mindset and ecosystem from production to business transformation needs.
- Be a focal point for knowledge transfer, insights sharing and work in collaboration with Service & GBU, GEC, partners and GTM Organization. Work with Products and solution team members on related cross segment projects to facilitate penetration into countries and segments per business priorities. Provide feedback on market trends and needs for future developments.
- Be driven, be team player, customers first mindset and lead with expertise.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering/Master in Science or a technical field or similar relevant background; MBA preferred but not essential.
- Hands on industrial, production, product management or development experience from relevant fields.
- Experienced with digital printing technology as preference or relevant industry experience form other vendors, packaging converting, brands, digital print ecosystem, Print service providers PSP.
- Minimum 2 years of proven professional experience in technical consulting with focus on presales and solution finding involving high-touch customer facing or technical account management roles.
- Experienced in working cross organizations of different sizes with multiple levels of stakeholders including operational, production, senior management and executive contacts.
- Technical knowledge of the print business and production workflow as preference.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and presentation capabilities.
- Details oriented and analytical with great presentation skills and amazing project management capabilities.
- Ability to manage numerous complex projects in parallel while delivering clear outcomes and communicate comprehensive path toward a solution.
- A Strong team player, yet a self-starter with strong sense of accountability and self-driven.
- Thrives in a multi – tasking environment and can adjust priorities on the fly.
- Operational - managing PNs, inventory, OS upgrades, HW upgrades, supporting deals, etc.
- Entrepreneurship - ability to guide, promote and inspire GTM org, customers and prospects.
- Comfortable with up to 25% travel.
