The Peter Guo-hua Fu School of Architecture is seeking a highly organized Lab Helper to assist the workshop assistant with the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Opening and closing the laser cutting room after hours in the busy periods during midterms and finals, (Monday to Friday from 5PM to 9PM for 2-4 weeks depending on the student deadlines).

  • Assisting the students with the afterhours booking calendar

  • Aiding students with the use of machines, verifying that the laser cutters are operating correctly, and all safety procedures are carried out properly.

  • Troubleshooting student files and machine errors.

  • Helping with the maintenance and cleanliness of the laser cutter room.

  • Collaborating with staff on creating student knowledge base.

Minimum Education and Experience:

High School Diploma 1 Year Related Experience

Hourly Salary:

(AMUSE B) $21.00

Estimated Number of Work Hours per Week:

6.25 (Part time)
