Job Description Summary:
The Laboratory Educator provides departments with educational support. The Lab Educator provides standardized education in the area(s) of expertise as well as general education including but not limited to orientation, training, competency assessment, regulatory, accreditation, and certification. The Lab Educator will work with the appropriate stakeholders to maintain records, including but not limited to testing personnel qualifications, training, and competency. The Lab Educator will work with the appropriate stakeholders to develop and maintain system policies related to associate education.Responsibilities And Duties:
70% - Educator/Facilitator: Provide education on laboratory methods, safety protocols, and quality standards. Supports the training of new associates and semiannual and annual competency assessments of associates, including travel to care sites and working flexible hours to accommodate testing personnel schedules. Training and competency assessment includes, but is not limited to, scheduling, preparing specimens for direct observation, observing associates performing testing, completing documentation of training and competency, assessing associates’ qualifications for testing, and communicating with associates and leaders.Minimum Qualifications:
