MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT


As a Kubernetes Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customer directly supporting national security. You will play a crucial role in creating stable, reliable and a performant platform for mission-critical workloads.

  • Manage and maintain the Kubernetes cluster, including node management, pod scaling, and resource allocation
  • Ensure high availability and scalability of the Al/ML analytics platform, including monitoring and troubleshooting of issues
  • Manage and maintain dashboards for observability tools such as Grafana and Prometheus
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to deploy and manage Al/ML models, including monitoring, and logging
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to streamline platform management and deployment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to platform performance, including debugging and optimizing containerized applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other systems and tools


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience
  • Experience: 8+ years of related experience with 3+ years of experience in system administration, with a focus on Kubernetes and containerized applications
  • Technical skills required:
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, including pods, services, deployments, and persistent storage
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
  • Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to debug complex issues
  • Security clearance level: TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Desired skills and abilities:
  • Certification in Kubernetes administration, such as CKA or CKAD
  • Dashboarding with Grafana
  • Familiarity with OpenSearch Dashboard
  • Experience with Cl/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab Cl/CD

The likely salary range for this position is $170,000 - $230,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
