Position Summary:
As a trusted advisor for a select portfolio of Key Regional customers, you will maintain and grow relationships, identify new opportunities, guide administration teams, and serve as the liaison between customers and our divisions. Your responsibilities include ensuring contract compliance, driving sales growth, and maximizing profitability. In addition to your core duties, you will focus on exploring vendor, manufacturer, and retail opportunities to expand our business.

Essential Functions:
Serve as the primary contact for all customer business and account-related issues, coordinating resources to present a unified approach to the customer.
Engage frequently with external customers, exchanging information and problem-solving techniques that align with GFS culture and business objectives, while leveraging GFS’s value and expertise.
Build long-term customer relationships while achieving short-term goals.
Schedule and facilitate account business reviews, developing action plans to meet joint account objectives.
Develop account business plans that include customer and GFS objectives, implementation strategies, and the promotion of the GFS brand throughout the customer's organization.
Manage customer orders, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business.
Act as a foodservice consultant, advocating for customers and helping them achieve their goals through the design and implementation of foodservice systems and GFS Value-Add solutions.
Troubleshoot issues during the order process (e.g. out-of-stock or short-shipped products).
Develop and maintain customer relationships, pricing strategies, and deliver effective presentations.
Maintain knowledge of the segment through industry publications and local culinary organizations.
Utilize customer profitability and pricing models to negotiate customer agreements.
Source new products and initiate product conversions, identifying category penetration opportunities.

Goal-driven with strong organizational and administrative skills for effective self-management.
Ability to meet and exceed sales performance goals, with strong time and territory management skills.
Adaptability to frequent changes in program function or new applications.
Leadership skills, including the ability to work with diverse individuals at all levels of the business.
Strong customer service, time management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to bring consensus and reconcile differences.
Creative thinking skills for developing new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products.
Occasional travel; 90% direct interaction with customers.
Experience:
Experience in food service sales and management is a definite asset
Familiarity with Gordon Ordering, SAP, and other sales systems is an advantage
