For this exciting position we are searching for a Key Account Partner (KAP) to cover hospital accounts in the South of Portugal.
The Key Account Partner is responsible for generating clinical demand for Severe Asthma products in key accounts, proactively identifying business opportunities, communicating value propositions aligned to customer needs and objectives, and recommending solutions to drive and develop business.
In addition, the KAP will develop strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships with the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), Decision Making Unit (DMU), and all key hospital stakeholders, based on a deep scientific understanding of the issues to identify the best opportunities for improving the Patient journey, promote earlier diagnosis and enhance quality of care.
As a successful Key Account Partner, you will:
Find opportunities and define strategies to improve positioning of AZ's Severe Asthma products at local level, collaborating with the direct manager, cross infield team and other relevant functional areas.
Optimize the patient journey and promote earlier diagnosis, positioning AZ as the partner of choice for driving projects with these key objectives.
Build partnership strategies with the MDT and other collaborators to enhance quality of care.
Identify and update all key stakeholders inside each hospital account and create and maintain active engagement plans involving Brand team members as needed.
Develop hospital account plans aligned with brand strategy and goals to unblock / increase brand uptake in the different accounts.
Identify, collect and share insights about Severe Asthma market development inside each account.
Apply different communication approaches, techniques, and channels to help build knowledge in the MDT and DMU
Drive sales performance and ensure sales forecasts are met or exceeded while handling assigned budgets.
Successfully complete all training requirements, including product & therapeutic are knowledge assessments.
Be the owner to seek and develop scientific area knowledge (read and interpretate scientific articles and studies, be aware of scientific news and proactively share them)
See issues through the lens of a patient and focus on the patient experience, e.g., diagnosis, referral, testing experience, quality of care, etc.
Engage cross-functionally in a sophisticated manner to address the needs of individual accounts, i.e., working with field and office-based colleagues to actively align insights and leverage organization-wide expertise for each account.

Experience:
Consolidated sales experience (hospital setting) with solid knowledge of account management
Track record of engaging key partners in complex clinical environments, e.g., mid and senior level healthcare professionals, key accounts and the medical community
Proven ability to understand, assimilate, and communicate scientific information and Health Economic Outcomes data
Knowledge around the stakeholder decision-making process in an ecosystem with multiple influential players / decision makers, with proven track record of adding new value in complex DMU
Proven demonstration of successfully working in complex cross functional teams
