Key Account Manager - Trade Channel

Job Purpose:
The Key Account Manager - Trade Channel will be responsible for managing relationships with key accounts, including traditional wholesalers and pharmacy chains, to drive revenue growth, increase brand visibility, and achieve performance targets. This role requires strategic planning, effective execution of marketing campaigns, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders for comprehensive business management.

Responsibilities:

1.Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement annual Key Account plans and business strategies, including product launches, market forecasting, and promotional campaigns.
  • Define approaches to enhance brand visibility, meet performance targets, and optimize profitability.

2.Key Account Management:

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with key accounts, acting as their main point of contact.
  • Drive achievement of account targets through tailored product detailing, market development activities, and pharmacist-focused events.
  • Conduct evaluations of key accounts to identify opportunities for growth and further engagement.
  • Develop account mapping strategies aligned with GSK priorities.

3.Market Analysis and Business Development:

  • Analyze competitors and perform market analysis to safeguard and increase GSK market share.
  • Explore new opportunities to enhance product visibility and growth potential.

4.Optimization of Commercial Schemes:

  • Manage commercial schemes such as bonus free goods and discounts to ensure profitability.
  • Collaborate with Trade Marketing to devise and execute creative pharmacy-focused marketing activities.

5.Collaborative Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Coordinate with internal teams across functions to ensure alignment on business objectives.
  • Professionally represent GSK while fostering trust and delivering value-driven communication for clients and collaborators.

6.Performance Monitoring:

  • Track inventory levels, profitability, sales performance, and key account KPIs.
  • Evaluate campaign effectiveness and maintain structured reporting mechanisms for account success.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in field force or the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of the local market, including pharmacy chains, wholesalers, and hospitals.
  • Proven ability to meet and exceed account targets through strategic relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective negotiation and communication skills to build trust with key accounts.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High level of self-motivation, enthusiasm, and drive for results.
