Job Summary

The Junior Traffic/Transportation Engineer will assist engineers and engineering staff in various project support roles.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of transportation and traffic engineering reports, plans, and technical documentation
  • Conduct basic traffic analysis and support traffic modeling using software (e.g., PTV Vissim, AutoTURN, Synchro)
  • Assist in the collection, processing, and analysis of traffic and transportation data
  • Coordinate with transportation and traffic engineers and other project team members
  • Apply relevant transportation engineering standards, codes, and guidelines in project tasks
  • Support the preparation of progress reports, presentations, and other project documentation, including technical figures, tables, and graphics
  • Maintain organized project files, records, and documentation for efficient tracking and retrieval
  • Assist in scheduling meetings, coordinating project activities, and preparing meeting minutes as required
  • Support project monitoring by tracking task progress, timelines, deliverables, and assisting with related logistical arrangements
  • Participate in fieldwork activities such as traffic surveys, site visits, and inspections, and provide general administrative and coordination support to the project team
  • Participate in BUILD (TYLin’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Program) initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the Philippines or member of a recognized international engineering chartered organization.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with experience in engineering software such as PTV Vissim, AutoTURN, Synchro, or similar tools.
  • Strong project management and client relationship skills, with solid knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards.
  • Client-focused, with a commitment to delivering optimal solutions and addressing complex challenges through innovation.
  • Demonstrates integrity and professionalism, upholding ethical, fair, and sustainable practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities, with experience collaborating effectively in diverse and inclusive teams to achieve technical excellence.
  • Ability to travel occasionally, depending on project needs.
