Position Overview
The Junior Payroll Specialist will be part of the HR/Payroll team and will support day-to-day payroll operations, working closely with senior colleagues of the Italian offices C-MAP Italy and Navico Forlì. The role aims to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in compliance with applicable regulations, while handling sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and attention to detail.

Essencial Functions
•    Support the collection and verification of data required for payroll processing (time and attendance, absences, overtime, sick leaves etc).
•    Assist in the preparation and review of payroll data and payslips.
•    Provide support with monthly and periodic administrative activities (documentation filing, reporting).
•    Maintain and update employee records and data within the payroll/HR systems.
•    Act as a first point of contact for employees’ operational payroll-related inquiries, escalating issues to senior team members when necessary.
•    Support interactions with external payroll providers, labor consultants, and vendors.
•    Collaborate with the HR team and, where applicable, with international stakeholders.
•    Recruitment process: candidate screening tasks

Essential Requirements
•    Strong sense of confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive and personal data.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and service-oriented approach.
•    Fluent English, both written and spoken.
•    High level of accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail.
•    Strong learning ability and motivation to grow professionally within the payroll function.
•    Good knowledge of standard IT tools (Microsoft Office, particularly Excel).

Required Qualifications
•    Educational background in Economics, Law, Human Resources, or related fields.
•    First experience (including internship or apprenticeship) in payroll or personnel administration.
•    Interest in labor law and payroll processes.
•    Basic familiarity with payroll software or HRIS systems.
