About you on this role

You are a disciplined and safety-focused operations professional who thrives in a plant environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of assigned plant areas. You will work closely with shift teams to maintain operating discipline, respond to planned and unplanned events, and continuously improve plant performance in alignment with site and business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Operating Discipline policies, principles, procedures, standards, and practices to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
  • Operate and conduct field checks of process equipment, monitoring process conditions, control systems, equipment performance, and key performance metrics.
  • Make timely operational decisions to maintain or achieve desired production rates and operating conditions.
  • Perform scheduled operational tasks and address tasks arising from unplanned events or process upsets.
  • Collaborate with shift team members and cross-shift teams to balance workloads and ensure completion of assigned tasks within defined timelines.
  • Conduct effective shift handovers in line with facility-specific operating discipline tools to ensure clear communication and continuity.
  • Maintain required qualifications and certifications in assigned operating areas and complete training objectives within defined timelines. Participate in Immediate Response activities as assigned.
  • Initiate and document preliminary investigations and participate in root cause investigations when required.
  • Track and utilize applicable plant key performance metrics to optimize operations and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and implement operational improvements through facility improvement processes and management of change procedures.
  • Perform Autonomous Maintenance, including minor repairs and preventive maintenance, in accordance with site policies and local agreements.

Qualifications

  • Completion of Vocational Education or Upper Secondary Education (High School Diploma or equivalent).
  • No prior work experience is required; suitable for entry-level candidates with the right aptitude and willingness to learn.

Additional Notes

  • This role involves shift-based work and requires close collaboration with plant operations teams.
  • Autonomous Maintenance activities are subject to local agreements and site policies.
  • Continuous learning and adherence to operating discipline are critical for success in this role
