The Classified Infrastructure Services (CIS) department provides expertise to programs in Networking and High-Performance Computing. We are seeking a Junior Network Administrator to join our team in McKinney, TX. In this role, you will bring a basic level knowledge of Cisco devices and commands to support multiple, air-gapped Local Area Networks (LANs) and Wide Area Networks (WANs).

This is an onsite position in McKinney, TX.

What You Will Do:

• Review Technical Security Controls with more senior networking professionals and apply to network configurations
• Install network hardware as part of tech refreshes
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as network and rack diagrams.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of less than 2 years of relevant experience, or minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Network Engineering, or in an IT discipline.
• Create and maintain technical documentation such as network and rack diagrams
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Effective customer service skills, including oral and written communications.
• Experience with Cisco Networking Products.
• CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent 8570 IAT Level II or 8140 Intermediate for Network Operations Specialist), or ability to acquire within 6 months of start date.
• Associate-level Cisco certification (e.g. CCNA)
• Able to effectively and respectfully collaborate with across functions, to include other Digital disciplines, Cybersecurity, Facilities, Engineering, and Program Management
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
