The team
Economic Capital ensures ING holds sufficient funds to withstand extreme adverse market scenarios. The Economic Capital Squad within the Asset and Liability Management team of Integrated Risk Model Development is responsible for the development of mathematical models to calculate the required Economic Capital for Market Risk, Operational Risk and Business Risk. Next to this, the squad implements these models on MApps, the ING Private Cloud, for locations to use. Finally, the Economic Capital Squad interacts with stakeholders to further improve and explain the workings of the models.
Roles and responsibilities
As a model developer you will be working on the development of mathematical risk models. While model development remains a core responsibility of the team, the current focus is increasingly on the effective usage of these models within the organization.
Therefore, we are looking for a new team member to work on the development of interactive tooling on the MApps environment to disclose the information and provide insight in the Economic Capital calculations for the user.
This means that, in addition to a quantitative background, we are looking for a candidate with experience in translating user requirements into interactive dashboards and the skills to implement them in a web-based environment.
