Lloyd’s Europe plays a critical role in enabling Lloyd’s insurance and reinsurance business across the EU/EEA. Our Finance team sits at the heart of the organisation, providing robust financial reporting, commercial insight, and regulatory compliance to support strong decision‑making.

 

The Opportunity

 

  • We’re looking for a motivated and analytical Junior FP&A Analyst to join our International Finance team in Brussels. This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career who wants to build strong FP&A foundations, develop commercial insight, and gain exposure to international insurance operations.

  • You’ll support budgeting, forecasting, and month‑end processes across Lloyd’s Europe, working closely with the FP&A Lead and stakeholders across the business to turn financial data into meaningful insight.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles for Lloyd’s Europe, including the aggregation of functional plans and forecasts

  • Produce regular management information and performance analysis to support business decision‑making

  • Analyse actuals versus budget and forecast, identifying trends, drivers, and areas for improvement

  • Partner with stakeholders across international offices, translating complex financial information into clear, actionable insights

  • Assist with month‑end close activities, producing financial information under Belgium GAAP, IFRS, and Solvency II where required

  • Support the review of financial business cases for strategic and operational initiatives

  • Maintain accurate, standardised financial records and strong financial controls

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, helping to increase efficiency and add value across the finance function

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across Finance and the wider business

What We’re Looking For:

 

Skills & Capabilities

 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial data

  • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets

  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with strong stakeholder engagement

  • High attention to detail, combined with the ability to see the bigger picture

  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Commercial mindset with a focus on delivery and continuous improvement

 

 

Knowledge & Experience

 

  • Understanding of financial planning and analysis principles

  • Knowledge of accounting standards such as IFRS, UK GAAP, and/or other local GAAP

  • Experience analysing financial information and producing meaningful insights

  • Exposure to well‑governed finance processes and reporting environments (preferred)

 

Qualifications

 

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline

  • Accounting‑focused degree or qualification (BEGAAP, IFRS, or UK GAAP) preferred
