The Entry level ORACLE Database Administrator (DBA) will provide DBA support for our ORBIS healthcare software product for clients across the UK and Ireland.
They support the design, implementation, maintenance, and security of the ORBIS databases. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with foundational database knowledge who are eager to develop their technical skills while working alongside experienced DBAs and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Help with data imports, exports, and migrations.
- Assist in installing, configuring, and upgrading database software.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
- Monitor database performance, availability, and security.
- Help with data imports, exports, and migrations.
- Apply patches and updates under supervision.
- Respond to basic user queries and troubleshoot database issues.
- Maintain documentation for database configurations and procedures.
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle).
- Awareness of data security principles.
- Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Awareness of the AWS Cloud Platform.
