As our next Jr. Engineering Specialist (Co-op) Testing, you’ll assist in the development and support of new testing equipment to drive business development initiatives for Johnson Electric Canada. Your creativity, flexibility, and innovation will help resolve technical challenges through collaboration and data analysis.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Participate in developing and implementing processes, part development, and equipment selection/installation.

  • Recommend modifications to tooling, plant equipment, and prototypes for cost-effective manufacturing and performance compliance.

  • Support production team meetings to resolve quality, service, and operational issues.

  • Serve as a technical resource for processes, products, and equipment.

  • Contribute to producing quality parts on time and at the lowest possible cost.

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures for operators and tool setters.

  • Communicate technological progress to production and other departments.

  • Ensure compliance with Johnson Electric Canada Quality and EHS Policies, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Third- or fourth-year Engineering student in Mechanical, Industrial, or Materials discipline.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.

  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and graphing).

  • Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
