We are seeking a Parts Journeyperson – Chargehand to assist in the guidance and leadership of the parts staff at Artemis Mines.

Job Description:

Basic Functions:

  • Work independently and/or in a leadership capacity directing and allocating work for short, mid or long[1]term jobs or projects
  • Ensuring safety standards are maintained
  • Instruct others in the performance of their work, manage the quality and quantity of work through the use of the technology tools we have in place
  • Train and mentor new employees and apprentices
  • Supporting annual review process by providing input and assisting with employee development discussions
  • Support parts phone, email, chat and counter sales duties
  • Implementation of parts initiatives and process
  • Provide leadership and guidance by being the subject matter expert
  • Ongoing develop and mentoring of existing staff
  • Adherence to communication swim lanes
  • Involved in the hiring and interview process of parts related roles as required
  • Promoting of diversity and inclusion
  • Advocate for Parts teams, involvement in Finning Safety culture.
  • Advocate Parts teams engagement to improve the customer experience – NPS

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling with input from RPM and manage to overtime budgets
    • Shift Coverage
    • Holiday Coverage
    • O/T Coverage based on seniority
    • Emergency Call in
  • Communication conduit between management, departments and employees (excluding disciplinary actions)
  • Support health and safety documentation, supporting training and scheduling
  • All aspects of order processing, quotes, follow ups and logistics regardless of channel
  • Delegation of workflow with support from RPM’s where applicable
  • Supporting data, account and order integrity as it relates to Finning’s information systems i.e CRM, ERP, Call Application etc.
  • Technical parts inquiries
  • Receiving Policy (Inspection of goods, Pricing, qty, condition)
  • Adherence to Supervisor Purchasing limits and approvals
  • Core policy and inspections
  • Observing and following corporate Parts Returns Policy
  • Provides guidance on stocking levels
  • Non warehouse related purchasing and receiving (where necessary)
  • Other duties as required and appropriate

Qualifications:

  • Strong product knowledge and communication skills
  • Self-motivated with outstanding leadership skills and the willingness to contribute positively to a quality team environment
  • Computer literate and possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Infor, Parts Viz, SIS 2.0, TMI, MPI, DBS system, Aims, Saleslink/Salesforce, DPC and Antares and previous experience in inventory control, P.C.R. programs and parts marketing programs are considered essential.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency is essential.
  • Post-secondary supplementary education and supervisory skills will be assets

Important Details:

  • Site based role supporting Artemis Mine
    • 12 Hours per Day
    • 14 x 14 Continuous Day Shift / Night Shift Rotation (14 Days/14 Off/14 Nights)
  • A condition of employment may include the ability to obtain Customer Site access (Drug & Alcohol, fitness testing) and wear a respirator where applicable
