Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Project Managerto lead projects, drive business development, and expand Parsons' footprint in the Northeastern US ITS market, with a focus on New England. This role combines technical expertise in ITS systems with strategic leadership, client cultivation, and project management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ITS network communications, Traffic Management Center (TMC) systems, Traffic Signal Controllers, and Connected and Autonomous Vehicles (CAV) technologies, as well as a proven track record of delivering complex ITS projects and fostering client relationships.

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the scope development, management, and commercial performance of ITS projects while identifying new opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and developing proposals. This position is ideal for a solutions-driven professional who enjoys being technically involved in projects, cultivating clients, and working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Client Cultivation:
    • Identify, track, and manage new project opportunities in the Northeastern US ITS market.
    • Develop and maintain client portfolios, cultivating new relationships and partnerships.
    • Participate in professional organizations to establish client contacts and further relationships.
    • Manage proposal development and pricing for new project pursuits.
  • Project Leadership & Execution:
    • Act as the Company representative with clients during program/project execution.
    • Plan and define program goals, devising methods to accomplish them.
    • Oversee the establishment of Project Execution Plans, Health and Safety Plans, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plans.
    • Mobilize company resources to create project teams capable of delivering high-quality work.
    • Monitor and report project progress, milestones, and conditions affecting cost or schedule.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Provide hands-on technical leadership in the design, configuration, operation, and administration of ITS systems, including Traffic Management Centers, Traffic Signal Controllers, and Traffic Control Software.
    • Lead efforts in testing, diagnostics, and operation of ITS systems and network operating systems.
    • Apply knowledge of advanced transportation management systems, ITS devices, decision support systems, integrated corridor management, roadway traffic operations, transit systems, and artificial intelligence.
  • Commercial Management:
    • Negotiate scope changes with clients and subcontractors.

Salary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00
