Position Description

As the IT Technician you are responsible for the support of existing equipment and systems as well as the implementation of new communication and information systems for the organization.  You are responsible for handling the daily tasks associated with all aspects of technical support and maintenance of technical systems.

What You Will Do

  • Configure and deploy workstations, including computers and required peripheral devices (monitors, printers, etc.).
  • Set up and administer user accounts and access permissions.
  • Maintain the operational health of on-site computing, networking, and printing/MFD devices.
  • Manage hardware inventory and stock levels to ensure timely turnaround on service requests.
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming inquiries related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Respond to support requests in person, by phone, or via email.
  • Perform data backup and restoration for end‑user computers and mobile devices (iPhone).
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues through troubleshooting, hardware repair or replacement, and software debugging.
  • Troubleshoot and implement network-related solutions.
  • Ensure the security and privacy of network infrastructure and computer systems.
  • Develop and distribute self-service (DIY) guides related to IT updates and end‑user equipment.
  • Maintain audio/visual systems and connectivity in meeting rooms.
  • Be available for on-call, after-hours support for Priority 1 incidents or off-hours technical implementations, as required.
  • Serve as a point of contact for notifications related to building security systems.
  • Coordinate with hardware vendors and initiate service calls as required.
  • Travel to other locations may be required.

What You Will Bring

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience working with Windows OS, macOS, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience supporting call center environments, mobile devices solutions.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues remotely via phone, ConnectWise, or Microsoft Teams.
  • Professional, courteous, and customer-focused approach.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • A+ and/or Network+ certification considered an asset.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and/or Microsoft Visio considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with Jira considered an asset.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow considered an asset.
