Role Overview:
We are currently seeking an IT Technician to support our team at Newcastle Airport.
The IT Technician will be part of small team of Technicians and will assist in providing basic technical support for all system hardware, applications, and devices / peripherals. This individual will be performing these duties in a face-to-face customer environment.
This position requires performing shift work in a 24 x 7 x 365 environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in repairing, installing, and maintaining workstations and peripherals. This can be airport specific boarding pass printers, bag tag printers, scanners, document printers, CUSS etc.
Assist with troubleshooting of application/system issues.
Assist with network connectivity/cabling and networking hardware such as routers and switches
Work with different departments within the organization and external to solve issues.
Maintain required documentation for system configuration and support procedures
Performing preventive maintenance, daily walk around and checkups.
Providing consumables to several locations spread over the airport
As an autonomous system specialist, you will work with the Site Manager to optimize site performance and give your input on current procedures.
You will be the FPOC for all agents and handlers and provide first line support, either remotely or physically on site.
Skills / Experience Required:
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows installation, maintenance, configuration and troubleshooting on Windows Server environments.
English language (mandatory)
High-level problem-solving capabilities and mindset.
Customer-oriented.
Team player.
Ability to work autonomously and independently.
