Job Summary: Are you interested in a career with the FBI as an IT Specialist? As an FBI IT Professional, your job is to ensure the workforce has the applications and data when and where it is needed and protect our law enforcement systems. This means applying your knowledge of computer technology, cyber security, electronic surveillance, encryption, forensic science and more to safeguard information across the FBI, as well as our domestic and international law enforcement partners.
Major Duties:
Qualifications: GS-7: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-5 grade level. SE is defined as follows: Provided routine support regarding administrative and/or technical matters related to IT programs and/or services Performed routine system diagnostics and analyzed any potential problems or issues Provided some limited training to users regarding basic utilization of computer equipment GS-9: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-7 grade level. SE is defined as follows: Analyzed end user requests and determined correct resolution to the problem Troubleshot complex computer malfunctions Prepared for and assisted in initial "start-up" of new equipment and software Desired Skills Desired skills are NOT mandatory and will NOT be utilized to minimally qualify applicants.
