The IT Support Intern will perform a variety of IT Help Desk duties supporting Peter Millar’s user base. You will own support tickets, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, create and edit documentation, and perform standard upgrades as part of this role. This role is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on experience and build foundational IT skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Infrastructure

  • Provide technical support for Windows and Mac computers - H/W & S/W
  • Support of remote staff to include VPN troubleshooting
  • Build new Windows and Mac computers for onboarding and upgrades
  • Maintain hardware inventories
  • Troubleshoot Mac OS and application issues - specifically after OS upgrades
  • Migrate Mac computer settings and data to new machines for upgrades
  • Source Mac adapters/peripherals as needed
  • Perform OS and software updates as needed
  • Perform antivirus scans/updates and patching
  • Work with business to develop and maintain asset equipment replacement program
  • Prepares and maintains appropriate written documentation for systems, infrastructure, maintenance logs, and procedures
  • Support office phone systems and company-provided cell phones
  • Understanding of basic networking principles

  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies

Internship Program Overview:
This is a paid, in-person internship based in our Raleigh or Durham offices, running from May 18 through August 7, 2026. Interns are paid $18.25 per hour and will gain hands-on experience by being fully integrated into their respective teams. Throughout the internship, participants will complete a capstone project, collaborate cross-functionally, connect with company leaders and executives, and participate in intern lunch-and-learns and other professional development opportunities.
