Major Duties:

  • You will exercise broad responsibilities and wide latitude for independent decisions and actions, and function as a special staff that reports directly to the command leadership.
  • You will serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for Enterprise Network asset management, and total lifecycle management (from Procurement to Disposal) for processes and procedures which impact the entire organization at all levels.
  • You will develop and communicate procedures that maintain accountability of the command’s IT footprint while at the same time allowing for sufficient flexibility to support and enhance the mission of the battalion.
  • You will manage accountability of all appropriate IT Hardware in Accountable Property Systems of Record (ASPRs) in addition to local tracking of valuable assets not captured by either ASPR or system ticket tracking software.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Exhibiting outstanding customer service skills, coordinating asset management operations in support of various personnel activities; implement enterprise level services and assets, configurating management structure of all network equipment; Demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills. 1. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. This position is within the Work Category 411-TECHNICIAN / ADMINSTRATIVE SUPPORT at Work Level FULL PERFORMANCE, Series and Grade GG-2210-12.
