Major Duties:

  • You will serve as a Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic (NIWC Atlantic) IPT Lead IT Specialist, providing technical leadership with a focus on the integration of components and subcomponents for specialized systems.
  • You will lead IT teams to design, develop, and sustain command and control and Information to Expeditionary forces, managing processes, testing, requirements analysis, and interface development for specialized systems integration.
  • You will manage the creation and review of key engineering artifacts, documentation, Agile execution artifacts, and test plans to support system deliveries.
  • You will lead technical evaluation boards and conduct complex analyses of political, fiscal, and risk factors to meet customer needs and improve products and services.
  • You will oversee cross-competency resources and teams to execute technical tasks, ensuring interoperability with Naval and USMC systems, while mentoring team members.
  • You will act as a technical liaison to senior officials, defending positions, influencing resource allocation, and representing the command in collaborative efforts with external organizations.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NO-05 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: The minimum qualifications for this position would be possessing expert knowledge of software systems development, hardware and infrastructure as a service, sustainment, and modernization efforts. Ability to determine capability gaps, identify and evaluate of leading-edge technology to provide technical direction and recommendations for systems. Abiltity to liaise, coordinate and communicate with all levels of personel including Senior Executives and Flag Level Officers.
