An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and results oriented team within our IT Department. As an IT Services Specialist, you continuously evaluate and improve the employee experience through subject matter expertise in the digital workplace, focusing on efficiency, employee satisfaction and ensuring business continuity. This is a varied role and can give you a springboard into other careers in Informatics and beyond.

Your key responsibilities

  • Act as a digital enabler for our business colleagues & functions

  • Owner of the digital employee experience for Roche Australia

  • Drive employee productivity through consultancy, provide intimacy and site proximity at the sites, and ensure a personalized Roche employee experience.

  • Leverage available data (e.g.: Nexthink, SNOW) for proactive support

  • Support and manage the Incident/ Request management processes to ensure SLA's are met and drive continuous improvement through trend analysis.

  • Manage IT hardware lifecycle management & deskside support processes/managed services for the site

  • Provide support & guidance for onsite services (e.g. events and meetings) by leveraging from internal and external providers. Drive the user experience and promote best practices. 

  • Drive and enable standard workplace infrastructure, global/local projects and deployments in collaboration with product teams.

  • Proactively address and follow through on process-improvement ideas

  • Support & drive the budgeting process related to the respective site

  • Support local audit, inspection and certification requirements

  • Support local Business Continuity and IT Disaster Recovery planning activities

  • Partner with our internal and external service providers

Who you are

You are looking for a company where you can pursue your interests across functions and geographies, where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point. To be successful in this position, our new team member will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Diploma or Bachelor and above degree preferred but not required.

  • At least 3 years of experience working in an Information Technology-related field.

  • Experienced in providing onsite IT support and project coordination with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication skills with a good level of written and spoken English

  • Innovative and creative problem solver, highly accountable, with a results-oriented mindset.

  • Have a strong interest in emerging workplace digital technology.

  • Good communicator, good organisational and time management skills and aptitude for quick learning.

  • Strong experience in local vendor management.

  • Can influence decisions within areas of expertise and ability to present technical solutions or issues to management, project teams and customers in non-technical language.

  • Can lead onsite service implementation projects with minimal supervision.

  • Exhibits intellectual curiosity and integrity, and has a strong passion to bring value-add technology to the business.

  • Provide local and occasional offsite meeting and event support.

  • Scope and lead small projects to meet business demand.

  • Accountable for monitoring and improving user satisfaction.
