Overview of Role

Rothschild & Co as an organisation requires a high quality and responsive IT service for busy professionals. The organisation is committed to excellence and discretion in the services provided to its clients and needs similarly high standards in support of its own staff. Rothschild & Co is building a strong IT Service Management team to support the business in its ambitious strategic objectives.

The successful candidate will have a varied and hands-on role working as part of the IT Services Team. This covers a wide range of topics such as support and continuous improvements to our workplace infrastructure in collaboration with the Service Provider, support of our Traders and their trading systems, onsite support of Bank staff, leading projects in our Workplace environment and other Infrastructure areas.  As part of a small team, it is important that the candidate is service oriented, technically strong, thinks flexibly, takes ownership, communicates well and is an excellent team player.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate is structured, customer-oriented, able to work independently and skilled in solving technical challenges.

  • Projects – Work independently or with external service provider to scope and deliver a variety of Infrastructure projects such as building moves, network changes, workplace enhancements – acting also a technical challenger and internal coordinator
  • Workplace - Collaborate with other team members and service provider to resolve complex technical problems on our workplace infrastructure
  • Deputy for Package- and Application life cycle management – Deputize the lifecycle of standard software from requirement analyses, testing, licensing, maintenance to decommissioning
  • HW management – Responsible for the hardware stock management and the joiner and leaver process by moving hardware and peripherals
  • Mobile device management – Responsible for device, contract, billing and application support
  • Team Tasks - Collaborate with other team members and deputize them. Show flexibility to take over task from colleagues when necessary
  • Onsite Support - Respond to client requests for technical assistance via phone, ticketing tool, email and in-person, troubleshoot technical issues and provide first-line support.

Education and Qualifications

  • Completed apprenticeship or degree, alternatively equivalent professional experience

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • IT supporter background and Service Delivery mentality with real attention to quality and excellence in all areas
  • Flexible individual who can work on different topics and is willing to learn
  • Strong technical understanding in the areas of end user computing and IT Infrastructure
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English and German
  • Strong team player with an ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence amongst peers and colleagues
  • Experience of working with external service providers
