Job Description

As an IT Service Delivery Manager, you play a pivotal role in leading the management and support of our smart IT solutions deployed at airports worldwide. These solutions include mission-critical software that orchestrates the logistical transport of baggage, advanced data analytics platforms, and IT infrastructure. 

In this role, you’ll coordinate all service delivery activities executed by our international team of specialists. You’ll be the key link between our customers and the Service Management organization—planning, authorizing, and evaluating IT service operations to ensure seamless performance and customer satisfaction. 

This is a dynamic position that combines strategic oversight with hands-on coordination.

Department  

The Airports IT Services team is part of an IT Delivery Group that is active globally in selling, delivering and servicing our IT Solutions at Airports. You will work closely with other members of IT Delivery Group the team that are active in Sales, Engineering, Project Management and Life Cycle Services. 

Your tasks and responsibilities 

  • Oversee the successful implementation of new or modified service contracts, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities and customer expectations. 

  • Manage the smooth handover of newly installed systems or services to the Service team, ensuring readiness for ongoing support and maintenance. 

  • Lead and coordinate support efforts by assembling the right teams, tools, and information to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. 

  • Assign and monitor tasks across internal teams or external partners to ensure timely and quality execution of service activities. 

  • Collaborate with Service Desks, internal teams, and customer stakeholders to identify and implement improvements in Airports IT Solutions and Vanderlande service standards 

  • Provide regular and transparent reporting on service delivery performance to the Airports business, highlighting achievements, challenges, and improvement plans. 

  • Channel and prioritize known issues to product development teams, ensuring timely resolution and feedback loops for service enhancement. 

  • Facilitate customer feedback analysis and lead workshops to uncover business opportunities and contribute to service development. 

  • Support the Sales team with service-related input during pre-sales and contract definition phases. 

Your profile 

  • Professional degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field. 

  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience with IT infrastructure and software development environments. 

  • Affinity with IT and Industrial Automation, with a strong interest in logistics and operational processes. 

  • Proficient in ITIL-aligned IT Service Management practices and frameworks. 

  • Results-driven professional with a proactive and pragmatic mindset. 

  • Strong analytical skills and a positive critical approach to problem-solving. 

  • Hands-on attitude with a focus on execution and continuous improvement. 

  • Excellent communication skills, supported by a strong command of spoken and written English. 

  • Comfortable working in cross-functional and multicultural teams. 

  • Willingness to travel internationally on occasion to support global operations and service delivery.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €4.700 to €5.600 gross per month. Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
