- Overall accountability for security, tracking, and reporting on current and emerging threats and trends.
- Collaborates with the Technical Director and customer to address current and planned for future threats to services.
- Providing security expertise regarding security policy input, and security procedure development.
- Ensures products and systems comply with requirements and customer information assurance and cyber security standards and practices.
- Conducts and oversees formal verification methods with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics.
- Implementing security measures, as the role is responsible for protecting an organization's computer systems and networks from cyber threats.
- Conducts and supports incident response and data breaches.
- Implement security measures to ensure the safety of sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access.
- Work across various industries, including government agencies, financial institutions, and technology stakeholders.
- Responsible for the protection of digital assets and maintain the integrity of systems and data.
- Responsible for securing operating systems and network architecture.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Knowledge of conducting assessments for the customer's enterprise and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with securing network architectures, applications and cloud-based environments.
- Knowledge of cyber requirements, guidance and regulations.
- Responsible for conducting assessment activities.
- Conduct management and audits for customer and stakeholder environments.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:
- Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- Required Experience: 10+ years of related experience, including at least 5 years managing IT Security teams.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Intrusion Detection and Security, Cybersecurity activities.
- Knowledge of reporting, Operations, Analysis and Risk Management activities.
- Familiarity with System Security, Networking, Maintenance, practices.
- Knowledge of Incident Response and reporting, Information Security, Compliance and development of compliance based documentation.
- Familiarity with remediation activities.
- Familiarity with Network Security and collaboration with the SOC team on Threat Analysis.
- Possess Problem Solving skills, strong Communication skills and have Attention to Detail.
- Manage Vulnerability Assessments with tools and familiarity of reporting dashboards.
- Knowledge of financial operations.
- Possess Analytical Skills to include; Analysis, Problem-Solving Skills, Communications and formal reporting.
- Knowledge of auditing and operations.
- Knowledge of developing, documenting and implementation of security controls and security process and/or procedures.
- Requires highly effective communication and interpersonal communication skills.
- Requires strong analytic and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong decision-making and prioritization skills.
Location: The ideal candidate is located in Texas. There will be up to 50% travel, within the state, mostly to Austin and San Antonio areas.
Timeline: This is being posted contingent on contract award. Award is expected in April 2027. Work will not start full-time until after the contract award.

The likely salary range for this position is $147,292 - $199,278. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
