The opportunity
Join the Service Integration Team as an experienced Project Management professional to support the growth and maturity of the Project Management Office (PMO), drive the development of project management processes and best practices, and deliver ServiceNow-related projects within the Service Integration Portfolio.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across various business units to manage projects that align with strategic objectives and organizational priorities.
How you will make an impact:
- Lead end-to-end project delivery using both waterfall and agile methodologies.
- Manage the projects, including planning, prioritization, resource allocation, budgeting, and timeline tracking.
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical deliverables and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal and external suppliers contributing to project execution.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, including escalation handling.
- Prepare and deliver project status reports and executive summaries.
- Ensure compliance with Hitachi Energy’s delivery methodology, including project controls and gate model.
- Monitor project budgets and forecasts, ensuring cost control and managing scope changes.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve project management processes and standards within the PMO framework.
- Promote and embed best practices in project and portfolio management across the organization.
Your background:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in IT Project Management, including PMO-related activities.
- Experience delivering ServiceNow projects is a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Skilled in risk assessment and mitigation planning.
- Comfortable working in a matrixed and geographically distributed organization.
- Resilient in the face of ambiguity and change.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks (SCRUM, Kanban, SAFe); Agile certifications (e.g., PSM I, CSM) are a plus.
- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma principles and the DMAIC cycle.
- Solid knowledge of ITIL v3 and/or v4.
- Strong command of project methodologies, including process design and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic environment.
- PMP certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
