The IT Head of COE Quality Systems is responsible for establishing and leading the Center of Excellence (COE) for Quality Systems within the IT function to support the quality business function globally and provide support at the different manufacturing sites across the globe. This role ensures that enterprise-wide quality systems (such as QMS, compliance platforms, validation tools, and audit systems) are standardized, efficient, compliant, and aligned with regulatory requirements. The role will drive digital transformation, governance, and innovation in IT-enabled quality processes across the organization. The function also set policies and ensures change control policies are defined and following across the IT function in project execution and the run organization.

The IT Head of COE Quality Systems has direct reports in the areas of ERP, Lab, and Tools and Solutions to ensure that quality processes are implemented, following global standards and best practices. The role will need to work globally across different languages, time zones, and different level of systems set-up and standardization. In addition besides a focused but small internal team collaboration with one or more third party providers is a must for the team to be successful.

The integration and collaboration of the IT Quality role within the different business function such as Quality (Validaiton, Data integrity, Quality Audits, and QMS) and Operations, Supply Chain is key to the success of the role and IT Quality team.

What you will do

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for IT COE Quality Systems
• Align IT quality systems with corporate compliance, regulatory, and operational excellence goals.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure systems meet global regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EMA, ISO, GxP).
• Establish governance frameworks for system validation, audit readiness, and data integrity.

Technology & Innovation

• Lead implementation and optimization of enterprise QMS, LIMS, CAPA, Document Control, and other quality platforms.
• Drive automation, AI/ML, and analytics adoption to improve quality processes.

Stakeholder Management

• Partner with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to ensure IT systems meet business needs.
• Act as the primary liaison between IT and quality/regulatory functions.

Operational Excellence

• Standardize processes, templates, and best practices across global sites.
• Monitor KPIs and system performance to ensure continuous improvement.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing COE team of IT specialists, business analysts, and system owners.
• Foster a culture of compliance, innovation, and collaboration.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in a pharma or pharma related organization is key together with a strong Pharma manufacturing background
• Track record of competency in the field of IT Quality with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience, operating in a Global environment, including four years in a significant leadership role.
• Extensive experience working with third party vendors
