IT Delivery Lead

Salary: From £62,600.00  plus Bonus and benefits

Contract type: Permanent  

Shift pattern: Full-time – 37.5 hours per week

Location : Hybrid / Manchester, Staines office based – 2/3 days in Bupa office per week

Role Overview

Complete delivery and accountability of the IT project to agreed plan, budget, quality and timescales as defined by the business, recognising, and mitigating risks, resolving Issues and pro-actively managing any corrective actions or change requests throughout the lifetime of the IT project


             

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Support key initiatives, data assets, and projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams (e.g., product teams and projects) to ensure tasks are understood, assigned, and delivered within time and resource constraints.

  • Create and manage optimised project plans, resource requirements, budgets, critical success factors and key milestones for all IT projects.

  • Develop high quality applications

  • Working closely with other digital tech teams to ensure design and user experience is
    consistent and meet requirements.

  • Development of new or existing applications and solutions in line with application designs,
    development standards, methodologies and strategic architecture frameworks.

  • Working as a lead alongside technical SMEs within product teams and projects of varying
    scope and size.

  • Evaluate existing products and solutions to propose practical improvements, taking ownership
    and working with colleagues and business owners to implement changes.

Key Skills / Qualifications Needed For This Role

  • 2 years experience  digital web product delivery role.

  • Product and Agile operating methods and experience working in product teams

  • Knowledge of coding standards and source control techniques

  • Experience of working in a matrix managed environment, with mixed teams including
    contractors and vendors

  • Application containerisation using Docker and container orchestration services using
    Kubernetes on GCP (GKE) and/or Azure (AKS).

  • Pub/Sub event handling backbone using GCP Pub/Sub and Kafka.

  • Composable architectures using domain modelling, services and micro-services, leveraging
    techniques such as service mesh using Istio and circuit-breaker patterns.

  • Strong CI/CD pipeline automation with quality gates leveraging tools like Jenkins, Github,
    Github actions, automated test tools like Postman, RestAssured, Gatling, JMeter, SonarQube,
    ESLint, Selenium
