IT Business Consultant – Material Master Data Management

This role offers the opportunity to join our global ERP and Finance Services team, based in the modern Budapest HUB office. Our team is dedicated to supporting, maintaining, and advancing strategic, business-critical IT systems, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction for our business stakeholders.
Nilfisk is embarking on an ambitious journey to revolutionise our business through technological innovation. Our ERP programme is central to this effort, aiming to consolidate twelve legacy ERP systems into a unified, future-proof platform built on SAP S/4HANA, complemented by a robust second-tier ERP solution. This transformation will empower our global operations across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and customer service, fostering agility, facilitating data-driven decision-making, and driving operational excellence.
In parallel a major program has been launched to create a Data Architecture with the goal of simplifying our data landscape and creating trustworthy data sets and streamlined reporting. Master Data is a key element of the program, and this role will be a contributor in taking our data platform to the next level.
As an IT Business Consultant, you will be responsible for facilitating the implementation and support of solutions within the SAP Material Master Data Management module. You will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to ensure accurate, consistent and compliant material data that supports procurement, manufacturing, inventory, and sales processes. Your focus will be on enhancing business functionality and overall performance while ensuring a high degree of customer satisfaction.
Supporting and developing SAP Materials Management
Support 3rd party master data management module (Glasswing) and liaise with the tool’s provider
Having the opportunity to learn or enhance your skills in SAP Warehouse Management (WM), Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM)
Supporting integration points between the modules and integration to 3rd party application i.e.: Visual Factory and hand scanners, LSMW for master data updates and minor function module changes
Delivering value-adding recommendations and solutions aligned with key stakeholders.
Facilitating ongoing process optimisation
Playing a pivotal role in the SAP transformation to S/4HANA and the rollout of a robust second-tier ERP solution.
Facilitating the development of User Requirements Specifications
Planning and executing tests
Managing configuration
Conducting fit/gap analysis
Developing documentation, including Design Specification, Business Blueprint, and Functional Specification
You will be part of a dynamic and diverse team of IT Business Consultants, specialising in various SAP functionalities, with most team members located in Hungary.
What we are looking for:
Understanding of SAP Material Master Data Module
Demonstrated understanding of dependencies and implications across other SAP modules
Superuser experience within 1 or more modules
Experience running LSMW’s and minor queries
ABAP skills would be beneficial
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A growth mindset, collaborative approach, and passion for delivering business value
