Major Duties:

  • Provide the full range of supervision, through one subordinate supervisor.
  • Identifies employee development and training needs; provides and/or arranges for corrective action/training if a subordinate fails to meet established standards during interim evaluations; develops and implements an improvement plan.
  • Represents Military Medical Support Office (MMSO) by presenting formal briefings to senior Headquarters personnel within the direct chain of DHA regarding the role of MMSO.
  • Analyze and define priorities, and document detailed financial requirements for the execution of the budget.
  • Coordinates MMSO operations with those of other Armed Services, Navy, DoD and Federal Government organizations tasked to assist MMSO in execution of its mission.

Basic Requirements for Supervisory Health Systems Specialist: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with evaluating work performance; planning or assigning work to be accomplished; reviewing policies; and presenting briefings to a variety of stakeholders. This definition of specialized experience is typical work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
