We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic technology team within Canada Wealth to play a meaningful role in bridging business needs with technical solutions.
This role collaborates closely with our technology team and our business partners to analyze requirements, assist in identifying scalable solutions, and support ongoing operational excellence.

Position Responsibilities:
Partner with business and technical teams to identify, document, and refine technical requirements.
Analyze current systems, processes, and data flows to identify gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities.
Champion the use of AI tools and automation to improve team efficiency and enhance analysis or documentation.
Work with engineering teams to design and support integrations of applications into Manulife, including API-based data exchanges.
Write and complete SQL queries to support analysis, validation, troubleshooting, and reporting needs.
Translate technical concepts into clear, concise language for non-technical audiences.
Develop process maps, user stories, criteria for acceptance, and other artifacts needed to support development.
Support testing efforts through test planning, test case creation, and hands-on validation.
Consult with partners to understand evolving business objectives and recommend scalable solutions.
Support production incidents through investigation, follow-up, root cause analysis, and identification of improvement opportunities.
Support change enablement and communication related to system enhancements or new capabilities.
Act with a team‑first mindset—jumping in to assist with top‑priority items and collaborating across the squad to ensure collective success.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years + experience as a BSA, Data Analyst, or similar role in a technical environment.
Solid command of SQL for querying, data validation, and troubleshooting including hands‑on experience with data analysis, data mapping, and understanding of relational database build.
Understanding and experience with API development concepts, documentation and testing tools, such as understanding request/response schemas, JSON, and RESTful patterns and solve error responses.
Experience using AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT, automation platforms) to streamline or automate tasks, generate insights, or enhance efficiency.
Ability to produce clear process flows other visual system documentation.
Experience contributing to QA testing, test automation, and/or using test management tools.
Background in agile methodologies, including writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and participating in ceremonies.
Experience with established frameworks for guiding transitions and to ensure changes are accurately assessed, detailed, and implemented.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and collaborate effectively across teams.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Ability to learn quickly—both technical concepts and business processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification such as CBAP, PMI‑PBA, Agile/Scrum, or similar credentials.
Experience with workflow automation and integration tools (e.g., Power Automate).
General knowledge and hands-on involvement in cloud-based architectures, preferably on Azure.
Proficiency with SQL optimization and performance tuning.
Experience working with analytics or BI tools (e.g., Power BI) for reporting or dashboarding.
Knowledge of data privacy, governance, or compliance frameworks relevant to our industry.
Exposure to Python or other scripting languages.
Knowledge of SAML authentication, identity management, and application session integration.
Knowledge of the Canadian wealth management sector and familiarity with its regulatory landscape.

Salary range is expected to be between
$86,100.00 CAD - $136,100.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
