IT Asset Management & Second Line Support Leader

We’re looking for an experienced Technology Services Leader to lead our IT Asset Management and Second Line Support services across the organisation. This is a hands-on leadership role with real influence over how technology services are delivered, governed, and continuously improved. 

You’ll be responsible for leading specialist teams, ensuring robust asset lifecycle management, and delivering high‑quality second line support that enables colleagues to work effectively every day. If you’re a confident people leader with strong operational experience across IT Asset Management and Second Line/Desktop support, this role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact. 

What you’ll be doing 

Leadership & People Management 

  • Lead and inspire IT Asset Management and Second Line Support teams, setting clear direction, priorities, and expectations. 
  • Line manage specialists, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and professional development. 

End User Support Accountabilities 

  • Lead Second Line Support services, ensuring effective triage, resolution, and escalation of incidents and requests. 
  • Own the end‑to‑end IT asset lifecycle, from procurement and deployment through to renewal, reuse, and disposal. 

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement 

  • Identify inefficiencies, risks, and service gaps across IT Asset Management and Second Line Support. 
  • Lead service improvement initiatives, automation, and process optimisation. 

Governance, Risk & Quality 

  • Ensure services are compliant with IT governance, security, audit, and regulatory requirements. 
  • Maintain high‑quality documentation across services, assets, and operational processes.

Salary – Attractive salary based on experience (pay reviews also completed each year)
