ESPN Legal is seeking a current law student to assist with legal research, review of content and advertising, compliance matters, and project coordination. Position is located in Bristol, CT and intern would need to provide own housing and transportation for the summer.
What You Will Do
The ESPN legal internship offers hands-on experience, including drafting agreements, working with claims and risk teams, learning compliance, attending meetings, and shadowing staff. Interns gain insight into sports and entertainment and have opportunities to network with LGA interns.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Demonstrated organizational abilities with proven capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Maintains a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity in managing confidential information
Adept at working independently while recognizing appropriate opportunities to seek guidance
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications
Prior internship or work experience at a law firm, enabling them to start quickly and contribute effectively.
Contracting and drafting experience, which supports legal tasks and documentation.
Demonstrated interest in in entertainment law, copyright, Intellectual property (IP), regulatory or administrative law, or contract drafting courses (relevant course work is a plus).
Education
Completion of one or more years of law school in a current JD program at the start of the internship
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information
Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:
Be enrolled in an accredited law school pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
The approximate dates of this internship are June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026
Able to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9am - 6pm
Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the Bristol, CT
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
