We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investments Performance Reporting team at Mercer. This role will be based in Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Investments Performance Reporting Team is responsible for the production of investments monitoring reports for pension funds from several European countries and Growth Markets, which include asset allocation, performance and risk analysis, funding level monitoring, research topics and strategy updates. 

As an Investments Performance Analyst, you will be responsible for the production of various investments monitoring reports for pension funds, which include asset allocation, performance, risk analysis, price/performance assessment and strategy updates. 

You will work directly and daily with other Europe-based Investments consultants and colleagues.

We will count on you to:

  • Produce investments monitoring reports for pension funds with quantitative and qualitative analysis and performance appraisal.
  • Contact external entities (such as asset managers) to validate customer information.
  • Compile information and prepare analysis, evaluation and interpretation of results.
  • Acting as a peer reviewer and mentor for junior colleagues.
  • Follow-up with other Mercer teams, suggesting approaches and clarifying details of Investments Analysis produced.
  • Be responsible for thorough analysis of portfolios to help stakeholders make better investment decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with other Mercer Teams by providing your Investments Technical perspective (defining methodologies, assumptions), support with client queries and leading ad-hoc projects.
  • Be an agent of change constantly contributing to improve current processes.
  • Lead the implementation of projects that will support the team to be more efficient.

What you need to have:

  • Fluent English level (minimum C1).
  • Degree or Master’s in Finance, Economics, Management, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar.
  • CFA or CIPM Charter holder (not mandatory but it will be a plus).
  • Proven experience in the Investments Industry (3-5 years minimum).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Ease with SQL/VBA/Python and Power BI.
