Do you have a strong interest in the science of investing and the practicalities of implementing research ideas in the asset management industry? If so, we invite you to apply for a position in Dimensional’s 2026 Investment Research Summer Internship.
Spend your summer working alongside top researchers within asset management to develop and enhance systematic, quantitative, and academically-backed investment solutions aimed at improving people’s investment experience.
Overview
Dimensional’s Investment Research Team conducts theoretical and empirical research into a diverse set of topics related to the firm’s systematic investment approach and beyond, often in collaboration with academic affiliates. We aim to improve our understanding of financial markets and deliver a better investment experience for our clients through meaningful contributions to the asset pricing literature. Our research papers are frequently presented at academic and industry conferences, published in peer-reviewed journals, and featured in the financial press. Examples of recent research topics include drivers of expected returns (i.e., factor investing), portfolio design and implementation, asset allocation decisions, retirement solutions, and responsible investing. Investment Researchers collaborate closely with other Dimensional researchers as well as the broader investment team (including Portfolio Management and Trading) on enhancements to strategy designs and the firm’s signature daily implementation process. Lastly, senior members of the team interact with current and prospective clients as well as journalists.

Dimensional is seeking an upcoming or recent MSc or PhD graduate to join our 2026 Investment Researcher Summer Internship. Interns will work alongside junior and senior Investment Researchers to conduct rigorous, robust, and relevant research, and will have the opportunity to present their findings to senior management.
