The Role
To support the investment activity for all fixed interest portfolios under management to maximize performance in accordance with their objectives and guidelines
Principal Accountabilities
Investment manager for fixed interest portfolios, investing in corporate securities within policy limits and guidelines, in order to achieve superior relative returns
Recommend and trade fixed income securities, to improve risk-adjusted returns of specified fixed income portfolios, with a focus on credit positioning
Proactively monitor financial market and credit rating developments that may impact credit exposures and provide written/verbal updates to management making recommendations where appropriate
Ensure risk considerations, including Environmental, Social and Governance overlay, are integrated into the credit analysis and investment decision making process.
Key contributor to the Investment Strategy meeting
Contribute to the production and development of stakeholder reports
Maintain stockbroker relationships and other third-party information providers to extract best value from external research and advice
Contribute to the foreign exchange/ money market dealing activities in accordance with identified requirements
Skills
Be able to demonstrate comfort with risk-taking and handling pressure

Strong analytical and numerical skills are essential
Ability to organise workload and manage to strict deadlines
