We are seeking a talented individual to join our Business Services team at Mercer. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office and is offered on as a fixed-term contract until the end of 2026.
The Investment Implementation Services Specialist will be part of the Applications Team supporting the Pacific Investment Solutions business. The role involves managing and improving technology platforms applications used for cashflow allocation, asset re-balancing, reporting, and performance measurement for Mercer Funds in Australia and New Zealand. You will contribute to daily operations, collaborating with internal teams and external service providers.
We will count on you to:
Contribute to daily operational aspects of business applications
Maintain static and dynamic data, perform entity set-ups, and oversee daily and monthly processes such as Asset Allocation and Performance Reporting.
Investigate, resolve, or escalate issues related to processes, data, and reporting.
Assist users with queries and liaise with managers on user/application issues and process improvements.
Support project management activities including business analysis, specification compilation, UAT, and project implementation.
Provide backup support on critical daily processes and coach junior team members.
Assist with Application Governance, Change Management, and Knowledge Management activities.
What you need to have:
Tertiary qualifications in Finance or a related discipline.
3+ years in the Finance industry, ideally in a Funds Management environment with exposure to multi-manager structures.
Experience in investment operations is highly regarded.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel (medium or above).
Strong attention to detail, numeracy, organization, diligence, persistence, and problem-solving skills.
Mature, consultative approach with a team player mindset.
Ability to work under pressure and prioritize urgent tasks.
What makes you stand out:
Experience with Milestone Group pQuant and pControl applications (desirable but not required).
Some experience in project implementation.
Strong knowledge-sharing and coaching abilities.
