Investment Banking, Senior Analyst, Financial Institutions Group

Job Purpose:

BTIG is seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in our New York office. Our investment banking practice at BTIG encompasses a wide variety of services, including public and private offerings, convertible debt offerings and M&A advisory assignments. This position would require the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with primary responsibilities for the day-to-day management of ongoing assignments, the development of materials for board level discussions, and new business generation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide transaction support to senior bankers on a broad range of transactions including IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, debt financings, and mergers & acquisitions
  • Manage several concurrent projects and work effectively as part of a team or individually
  • Prepare client presentations
  • Financial analysis and modeling
  • Assist in preparation of company marketing and transactions materials
  • Interact with clients during presentations and deal executions

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Must have 2+ years of FIG Investment Banking experience
  • An undergraduate degree in finance or economics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple simultaneous project deadlines
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Capital IQ, Pitchbook, and Bloomberg
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Excellent analytical, modeling, and interpersonal skills
  • Solid work ethic and superior attention to detail

Compensation: 

  • BTIG offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. Salary range is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, location, years of applicable experience, skills, qualifications, licensure and certifications, and other business and organization needs.
  • The current estimated base salary range for this role is $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year. Please note that certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus or overtime.
